Who We Are
Next Level Investment Management is an independent wealth management firm that serves the needs of individual investors and retirement plan participants. We specialize in those working in local healthcare, law enforcement, and government agencies.
What We Do
We provide the knowledge and resources individual investors need to be prudent stewards of their wealth. We maintain strategic alliances with top-tier institutions that support a fiduciary standard of excellence. We save our clients both time and money by facilitating comprehensive and continuous management solutions. We offer continuous retirement planing and wealth management support clients need to retire with dignity and confidence.
What We Don't Do
We only work with investors who value prudent process management and high standards of care. We don't believe in get-rich-quick schemes or boilerplate solutions. We don't offer commission-based investment products. We don't ignore assets we're not managing. We do not work with investors who believe luck is a strategy.
Our clients progress through a systematic three-step approach to financial wellness focused on prudently governing investments, establishing a defined retirement plan, and coordinating an integrated wealth management solution.

Professional Background: Throughout my personal and professional life I have been an innovator with a passion for integrity and empowerment. These values have guided my career and purpose as a financial advisor. I chose to maintain an independent practice to best represent the interests of my clients. I began offering fee-based services and complementary planning support decades before it became popular to use the term "fiduciary". I have become and continue to be a vocal advocate for financial literacy and the fiduciary standard. I authored an educational newspaper column for six years, and my insights on personal finance and technology were even cited in the Wall Street Journal (Sept 1, 2012).
Most recently, I have become focused on reviving the fiduciary standard of care in retirement plans. Retirement plans have changed and participants are generally excluded from the help they need to be prudent stewards of their wealth. To address this enormous concern I have integrated Pre-Retirement Services that re-connect many plan participants with the crucial advisory services their plans lack. Eligible plans include:
- California Savings Plus 401k and 457
- Dignity Healthcare 403b
- Prime Healthcare 401k
- PG&E 401k
Personal Background: I grew up in the Ferndale, California area. After graduating from Cal Poly SLO in 1990 I moved to the Seattle area and started a financial services practice. In 2004, my family relocated to Northern California in order to help centralize a growing west coast practice. My wife, Heidi and I have two grown children, Connor and Rowan.
Community Service: I am an active member of Rotary and Masons. I have served as a Board member of Redding Youth Lacrosse and University Preparatory School Board. At U-Prep I originated the PTO and served as Director of Leadership U-Prep for more than five years. I am a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International, and have been recognized as a Community Builder by Redding West Rotary for many years of work with local youth. Today I serve on the Board of Sunset Rotary.
